🐝 Privacy Policy

The short version: CleanBee runs entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos, your viewing history, or any personal data. There is no account, no login, no cloud, no server backend that sees your library. That's the whole policy — the rest of this document just spells out what that means in legal terms.
1. What we collect
Nothing. CleanBee does not collect any personal data, photos, videos, contacts, location, or behavioral analytics.
2. What stays on your device
The following data is stored only on your iPhone, never transmitted off the device:
- Photo and video metadata read from the iOS Photos library (file size, creation date, screenshot flag) — used to show you duplicates and large files.
- Computed "feature prints" (mathematical fingerprints) of your photos, used by Apple Vision to find similar images. Stored in a local SQLite database. Deleted when you uninstall CleanBee.
- Your protection list — the photos you marked with the 🛡 shield icon to keep safe from cleanup. Stored locally.
- Your CleanBee history — what photos you deleted and when. Stored locally for the "Recently deleted" view.
3. What we never do
- We never upload your photos, videos, or any image data to any server.
- We never use third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs (no Facebook, Adjust, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.).
- We never sell, rent, or trade any data — there is no data to sell.
- We never read your contacts, calendar, location, or any other system permission beyond what's needed for the photo library.
4. Permissions we request
- Photo library access (read): Required to scan and show you duplicates, screenshots, and large files. Without this, the app cannot function.
- Photo library access (write): Required to save the CleanBee promo video to your camera roll when you tap "Share win" so you can post it to social apps. Optional — only requested when you tap a share button.
5. Network connections
CleanBee makes network connections only for the following:
- Apple StoreKit — to verify your subscription status. This is a sandboxed Apple service; CleanBee receives only "active" or "inactive" status, never your Apple ID.
- RevenueCat — Apple's recommended subscription validation partner. RevenueCat sees only an anonymous device identifier and your subscription product ID. RevenueCat privacy policy.
- Sharing to social apps — when you tap "Share to TikTok / Instagram / WhatsApp", the iOS share sheet hands the video file directly to that app. CleanBee is no longer involved at that point.
6. Children's privacy
CleanBee is rated 4+ on the App Store and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13, because we collect no data at all.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy — for example, to add an opt-in feature like anonymous crash reporting — we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change.
